The Renesas OB1203SD and OB1203LC Sensor Modules integrate an optical biosensor with proximity sensor and ambient light sensing

that are desirable for handheld electronic devices. The OB1203 photoplethysmography (PPG) biosensor integrates light sources and drivers, analog digital conversion and I2C communication in a single optical package. Data from the OB1203 biosensor can be used to determine heart rate (HR), oxygen saturation (SpO2), respiration rate (RR), and heart rate variability (HRV), a measure of stress. The OB1203LC features photodiodes admitting light across the visible and near infrared range, while the OB12.
