PACKAGE CASE 648–08 1 High–Performance Silicon–Gate CMOS The MC74HC4017 is identical in pinout to the standard CMOS MC14017B. The device inputs are compatible with standard CMOS outputs; with pullup resistors, they are compatible with LSTTL outputs. The HC4017 uses a five stage Johnson counter and decoding logic to provide high–speed operation.
