DESCRIPTION
The MPQ2286 is a configurable, high-frequency, synchronous buck regulator with integrated internal high-side and low-side power MOSFETs (HS-FET and LS-FET, respectively). The MPQ2286 operates from a 2.7V to 6V input voltage (VIN) and provides 12A of highly efficient output current (IOUT) with fixed-frequency, zerodelay PWM (ZDPTM) control for optimal transient response.
The configurable 2MHz to 4MHz switching frequency (f SW) during forced continuous conduction mode (FCCM) greatly reduces the external inductance and capacitance. Internal feedback and pensation minimizes the external ponent count and improves accuracy.
High power conversion efficiency across the wide load range is achieved by scaling down f SW under light-load conditions to reduce the switching frequency and gate driving losses.
