LD7831 04/14/2014 High Power Factor Primary Side Flyback LED Controller With HV Start-up REV: 00 General Description The LD7831 is a high power factor primary side Flyback LED controller with HV start-up, specially designed for LED lighting. The LD7831 provides constant current (CC) operation requiring neither photo-coupler nor secondary control circuit. It minimizes the components counts in a SOP-7. Those make it easy to design for cost- effective applications. With HV start-up technology, high power factor and TM control, the start-up time and resistor loss could be minimized efficiently. The circuit can easily achieve PF>0.90 to meet most of the international standard requirements.
