The device provides 2A of continuous load current over a wide input voltage of 9V to 40V. It uses current mode control to regulator the output voltage and provides fast transient response. Requiring a minimum number of external components, these regulators are simple to use and include internal frequency compensation, and a fixed-frequency oscillator.
