The device consists of the speech and the dialer.

provided by the PABX or central office. The PAUSE key stores a timed pause in the number sequence. Redial is then delayed until an outside line can be accessed or some other activity occurs before normal signaling resumes. A LND key input automatically redials the last number dialed. The HOLD key allows the user to suspend the conversation and resume the call on either the same phone by pressing the HOLD key again or resume the conversation at a parallel phone.
