GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The W83787IF is a derivative product of W83787F with one of UARTs support HPSIR and ASKIR. The W83787IF integrates a disk drive adapter ,two 16550 compatible UARTs, and one parallel port with EPP mode, ECP mode, and joystick mode.
The disk drive adapter functions of the W83787IF is sames as W83787F which including a floppy disk drive controller compatible with the industry standard 765, data separator, write precompensation circuit, decode logic, data rate selection, clock generator, drive interface control logic, and interrupt and DMA logic. The wide range of functions integrated onto the W83787IF greatly reduces the number of components required for interfacing with floppy disk drives.
