TA8255AH
TA8255AH is MAX POWER 22W BTL x 4CH AUDIO POWER manufactured by Toshiba.
Features - High power : POUT (max) = 22 W (typ.) (VCC = 13.7 V, f = 1 k Hz, RL = 4 Ω) Weight: 9.8g (typ.) : POUT (1) = 17 W (typ.) (VCC = 14.4 V, f = 1 k Hz, THD = 10%, RL = 4 Ω) : POUT (2) = 14 W (typ.) (VCC = 13.2 V, f = 1 k Hz, THD = 10%, RL = 4 Ω) - Low distortion ratio : THD = 0.02% (typ.) (VCC = 13.2 V, f = 1 k Hz, POUT = 3 W, RL = 4 Ω) - Low noise : VNO = 0.10 m Vrms (typ.) (VCC = 13.2 V, Rg = 0 Ω, GV = 34 d B, BW = 20~20 k Hz) - Built- in stand- by switch function (pin(2)) - Built- in muting function (pin(1), (25)) - Built- in AUX. amplifier from single input to 2 channels output (pin(16)) - Built- in junction temperature detection circuit (pin(24)) : Pin(24) DC voltage rises at about + 10 m V / °C in proportion to junction temperature. - Built- in various protection circuit : Thermal shut down, Over voltage, Out to GND, Out to VCC, Out to Out short - Operating supply voltage : VCC (opr) = 9~18 V 1 2002-10-30 Block Diagram 2 2002-10-30 Caution And Application Method (description is made only on the single channel.) 1. Voltage gain adjustment This IC has no NF (negative feedback) terminals. Therefore, the voltage gain can’t adjusted, but it makes the device a space and total costs saver. The voltage gain of amp. 1: GV1 = 0 d B The voltage gain of amp. 2A, B: GV2 = 28 d B The voltage gain of BTL connection: GV (BTL) = 6 d B Therefore, the total voltage gain is decided by expression below. GV = GV1 + GV2 + GV (BTL) = 0 + 28 + 6 = 34 d B 2. Stand-by SW function By means of controlling pin(2) (stand-by terminal) to high and low, the power supply can be set to on and off. The threshold voltage of pin(2) is set at about 3V (typ.), and the power supply current is about 100 µA (typ.) at the stand-by state. Control voltage of pin(2): V (SB) Stand-by Power On Off Off On V (SB) (V) 0~2 3~VCC Adjustage of stand-by SW (1) Since VCC can directly be controlled to on or off by the microputer, the switching relay can be omitted. (2) Since the...
