AF150 - Universal Wideband Active Filter

General Description

The AF 150 wide band active filter is a general second order lumped RC network.

Only four external resistors are required to program the AF 150 for specific second order functions.

Low pass, high pass and band pass functions are available simultaneously at separate outputs.

Key Features

  • Independent Q, frequency, gain adjustments.
  • Low serisitivity to external component variation.
  • Separate low pass, high pass, band pass outputs.
  • Inputs may be differential, inverting or non-inverting.
  • All pass and notch outputs may be formed.
  • Operates to 100 k.

Only four external resistors are required to program the AF 150 for specific second order functions. Low pass, high pass and band pass functions are available simultaneously at separate outputs. Notch and all pass functions can be formed by summing the outputs with an external amplifier. Higher order filters are realized by cascading AF 150 active filters with appropriate programming resistors. Any of the classical filter configurations, such as Butterworth, Bessel, Cauer and Chebyshev can be formed.
