SURFACE MOUNT–CERAMIC ATTENUATOR, PIN DIODE 0.8–4 GHz GENERAL INFORMATION The PI-800 Se r ies atte n uators are pa r t of the ne w Surfpac product line featur ing good inte r modulation per f ormance compared to their GaAs counte r par ts f or PCS/cellular base station use.

In addition, the PIN diodes of f er good p o wer-handling capabilities and are less sensitive to electrostatic discharge pro b lems.

These f eatures are impo r tant con side r ations in base station applications where the effects of antennarelated RF s witching and indirect lightning-inducedv oltage spi k es are present.
