SMPS µPFCTM IRS2505LPBF Boost PFC and SMPS Control IC Features Description  Critical-conduction mode PFC control (CrCM)  High PF and ultra-low THD  Wide line and load range  Regulated DC output voltage  No secondary winding required  Cycle-by-cycle over-current protection  Output over-voltage protection  Ultra-low start-up current  20.8V internal zener clamp on VCC  Excellent ESD and latch immunity  RoHS compliant  5-pin SOT-23 package Applications The IRS2505L is a control IC for PFC boost converters operating in critical-conduction mode. The IC incorporates a voltage feedback loop for output voltage regulation combined with smart zero crossing detection to control the gate drive output without the need for a secondary inductor winding.
