The absence of a clamp diode to VCC in the input protection circuitry of the MM88C30 allows a CMOS user to interface syste ms op erating at dif ferent volta ge levels.

The absence of a clamp diode to VCC in the input protection circuitry of the MM88C30 allows a CMOS user to interface syste ms op erating at dif ferent volta ge levels. Thus, a C MOS digital signal source can operate at a VCC voltage greater than the V CC voltage of the MM88C30 line driver. Th e d ifferential ou tput o f t he M M88C30 el iminates ground-loop errors. The M M88C29 i s a no n-inverting si ngle-wire tra nsmission line dr iver.
